The Feuds Germantown's athletic department continued as one of the finest in the state. For the past five years in a row, the Red Devils have received the Best of the Preps award from the Memphis Com- mercial Appeal. This award was for the outstanding accomplishments of each and every athletic team at Germantown. Each individual sport showed a determi- nation to do the very best they could. The attitudes of coaches and players alike led to their successful seasons. This,year we looked forward to another great year in sports and hopefully our sixth year as BEST OF THE PREPS!! They tra- velled to Knoxville a day early to prepare - r for the game. On Dec. 5, 1980, they locked horns with the tough it i Oak Ridge Wildcats. Oak Ridge got a quick vi start and scored twice Q in the first quarter. The Red Devils fought long and hard but never X f overcame them.
