In the Montgomery County Tournament, the Cards fell in defeat to Madison, Ct tough county team, by CI score of 23 to 29. JUNIOR HIGH BASKETBALL The Iunor High team had its most successful season in 1940 and 1941. These boys Will make up the varsity team of the future so keep your eyes on themt Their record; won 6 lost 3. They were coached by Mr. Gierhart, who taught them the fundamentals of tectm play and not individual glory. No one person stands out as the star but the Whole team shines as one of the high spots in this year's sporting seasons. They won the county tournament by winning four straight games. Who can forget the last game with Farmersvilte . . . we were behind , . . we tied it . . . and then wenton to win in the over time by Q score of 29-26. By this last night, which will hveinthe memory of the team a tong time, they be- come the proud possessors of ct beautiful trophyt This trophy will be placed in the trophy case to be exhibited among the others Cind will set a high mark as goal for the future teams.
