72$ - F1; THE CARDINAL CREST : Future Homemakers of America The officers for 19391940 are: Evelyn Bennett, President; Ethel Gehron, Vice-President; Eva Mae Isaacs, Secretary; Mildred Windhorst, Treasurer. The purpose 01 our club is to strive to become better homemakers, Oi the various activities engaged in, the joint-bunquet with the FF. A. boys for our mothers and fathers was the largest. We also helped with the Easter Egg Hunt. Four of our members attended the State Convention in Columbus. Our members along With the F. F. A. boys attended the Boone County Iumboree in Cincinnati this April. Future Farmers of America The otiicers for 1939-1940 are: Omar Brandenburg, President: Billy Rogers, Vice-President; Maurice Getter, Secretory; Kenneth Clensy, Treasurer. The cctivities of the year included the Corn Husking Contest, the F.F.A. and PH. A. Father and Son cmd Mother and Daughter Banquet, the Easter Egg Hunt, and a trip to the Boone County Iumboree.

Fox, Treasurer; Miss Nichols and Mrs. Albright, Counselors, The club had twentyvthree members this Yeah The girls took part in :1 Chapel program, the Hallowe'en Carnival, and the Fall Festival. The girls also sponsored a dancing class for high school siudents, directed by Miss Brough. M7 THECARDINALBREET , - , Camera Club At present, the Camera Club consists of twelve members. The officers are: Phillip Schaf- ier, President; Robert Kemper, Vice-Presideni; James Dean, Secretary-Treusurer; Mr. Buhler, Adviser. ' The main function of this club is to teach boys how 10 use a camera efficiently and eco- nomicully, how to take good pictures. and how to develop prints and enlarge pictures. In the future the Club plans to expand its program to include other phases of Science such as Biology, Chemistry, and Radio. Spelling Bee The Germantown Elementary pupils have taken on qciive interest in the annual WHIO Spelling Bees. Kenneth Smith, Doris Windhorst, Bertha Grossnickle, Willa EllingA ton, Estus Havens, Emma Bradshaw, Evelyn Eby, Iocmne Rosentiel, Delores Burkclow, Betty Barnett, and. Mary Grossnickle were members of the spelling team. Willa Ellington, Doris Windhorst, Estus Havens, IoAnne Rosentiel, Delores Barkolow, and Mary Grossnickle won and represented our school in the DaytonAMontgomer County finals. This team was coached by Miss Grace Leinbach.
