Clara MGGFS Advisor ............ , ........... Mr. Gierhart You can always tell a Senior By his dignity and grace. Eighteen of our forty-two members entered school together in the first grade. At the end of the eighth grade year we were welcomed into high school by the freshmen at cm informal party. Mr. Gierhctrt WCIS chosen as class adviser in our freshmen year. For the past four years, he has been c: good friend and counselor to all in the class. A dramatic production, 'tPeopie Are Funny was given in December of our Iunior year. The Seniors were honored by the Juniors at :1 formed banquet given at the Dayton Art Institute, after which Ct theatre party was held at Loew's. In the summer of this yeczr, one of our classmates, Hilda Burden, died. During our last year in school. we have been busy with the usual Senior activities. The class play, After Wimpole Street was given on May 10. Our class flower is the American Beauty Rose; our colors cxre old rose and silver; and our motto is: TtTonight we launch; where shall we anchor? History Will not put us down as C! remarkable class, but nevertheless, we have accomplished many things, Every year we have had members of our class on the county and district scholarship teams. Our boys helped to win the county championship in 1939. This year there were five senior boys on the team which won the district championship. Tonight we launch; where shall we anchor? We hope that the twelve years of school Which we hczve enjoyed together will help every member of our class to find 0 safe harbor in which to anchor. with J I mm 52 : w;
