In Memoriam RESOLUTION FROM THE MINUTE BOOK OF THE BOARD OF EDUCATION WHEREAS, the late Dr. A. E. Coughanour was a resident of German Town- ship for almost a quarter century and was recognized by all who knew him as a com- petent physician and as a valuable and esteemed citizen, vitally interested in all civic and community affairs, and all recreational and athletic activities, and whereas during his residence in the district he was in a direct way connected with the township schools as a loyal patron, a medical inspector, a school board member and as school board pres- ident, and whereas, in his service to this district he was recognized for his keen interest in school activities, his sound educational philosophy, his tolerance and sympathy in his relationships with others, and for his liberality and broadmindedness on school problems, and whereas the death of Dr. Coughanour was a serious loss to our com- munity and to the medical profession, NOW BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Directors of the School District of German Township hereby express its appreciation for the services of the said Dr. Coughanour in the affairs of the public and community, and also that it express its sense of loss in the death of this valuable citizen, by record- ing this resolution as a part of the board minutes, and sending a copy of same to the bereaved family. The resolution was unanimously adopted at a regular meeting of the Board December 13, 1950.
