PHYLLIS ROLAND PELTZ leaves her ability to get a husband to HELEN LOCKARD DOROTHE KAUFMAN will not will her WILL to anyone. SHIRLEY KAUFMAN wills her drum majorette position to GLENDA LEE GREENLEE DONNA THOMAS leaves her ability to get along with MR. BUSH to the army. ,IOYCE WELLS leaves her lovely voice to LARRY YACKEY. PAT MYERS wills her sophisticated manner to DONNA GROSS. PHIL WENZ leaves her sex appeal to ETTA MAE KLEIN. BETTY LOU JOHNSTON and DOROTHY LEIS leave for Melbeta. SHIRLEY UHRICH leaves her ability to go steady for over a year to NANCY COOPER ARLENE FERTIG wills her giggle to the Freshman girls. CLASS HISTORY 4 The portals of G.H.S. opened to 84 green freshmen in the year -1947. when the class of 1951 began their four memorable years of high school. In that year we elected Ronald Brown as President: Marilyn Schlothauer as Vice President, J. R. Rogers as Secretary, and Helen Hashiba as Treasurer. To the student council. we elected Don McCosh. Jerry Barton. Elwin Olson, Phyllis Roland. For our class sponsors that year we chose Mrs. Evelyn Snyder and Mr. ,lim Boyce. Our class party, a masquerade affair. was highly successful. In the fall of 1948. we returned to that grand institution called learning and. voted for our President. J. R. Rogers. Our other officers were Bob Wilkie. Vice Presidentg Arthur Carretson, Secretary, Arne Landsberg, Treasurer. Mickey Reavis, Phyllis Roland, Jackie Ross. and Donna Thomas were chosen to represent us 'ln student council. Our class sponsors that year were Mr. .lim Bowers and Miss Anna Meyer. As we began our junior year in the fall of 194-9, we entered upon a whirl of activities. Our .lunior Class Play, Comin' 'Round the Mountain. was a great hit. With the funds received from the play we began our plans for the .Iunior-Senior Prom. Our theme was Dreamers Holidayu and it was one to be proud of. Our leaders for that year were J. R. Rogers, President, Beverly Daily, Vice Presidentg Arne Landsberg. Secretaryg and Jane Morrison. Treasurer. Our student council representatives were Phyllis Roland. Bob Wilkie, Elwin Olson, and Jerry Barton. Our sponsors were Miss Shirley Brisco and Mr. Bill Taylor. We embarked upon our final year with the dignity and sophistication of seniors. As we began our year, we again elected .I. R. Rogers as our class President. Elwin Olson was elected Vice Presidentg Arne Landsberg. Treasurerg and Donn Conn was elected Treasurer. The seniors were well represented in student council, with Mickey Reavis as President, Bob Wilkie. Vice President, Donna Thomas as Secretary. On the Activity Board were Jerry Barton. Chairman., and Donna Thomas and J. R. Rogers. Other members of the council were Pat Myers, Phyllis Roland, Don McCosh, Rich Hall, Rex Coppom and Elwin Olson. Mrs. ,lean Reeder and Mr. Bill Taylor were our class sponsors and their guidance and help through our last year will always be remembered. Our Senior Class Play. One Mad Night, was a comedy which we enjoyed putting on. On our Senior Sneak Day, we sneaked away to Denver for a thoroughly good time. Then there was the Senior Dinner at Bigger's Dinner Bell. That was memorable night with good food, dancing. and a lot of laughs. The breakfast and prom put on for us by the junior class high-lighted our final year in school. To our teachers. sponsors. and those members of the faculty who were always willing to sacrifice their time and effort to help us. we offer our sincere appreciation for making our class history such a pleasant one.

Q News has been received that ARLENE GREEN. DONNA MUNROE. and RENATA ESKAM have received top billing at the Latin Quarter in New Orleans. HELEN HASHIBA is the manager for Miller and Cler. Professors HORST and UHRICH at the University of Gering have been telling their class about the Freedom of '49. AUDREY HOWELL is tending bar at the Red-White Saloon. On the entertainment billing is VIOLET SPECHT and PHIL WENZ. It is owned and operated by MARY LOU GEIS. BETTY LOU JOHNSTON and DOROTHY LEIS have just escaped from the State Re- formatory. It is believed that they may be headed for Melbeta. A new army camp has been erected in the honor of GERALDINE MCCHESNEY for her loyalty during 1951. ' JANE MORRISON, owner of Lockheed. Inc., has just broken the world non-stop record. PHYLLIS ROLAND PELTZ has earned world fame for breaking the Dionne record. DOROTHE KAUFMAN, who recently earned fame for her discovery of Radium. is travel- ing throughout the world with her wealthy companion, SHIRLEY KAUFMAN. who just purchased Banner County. DONNA THOMAS, well known author, lecturer, and journalist. has just completed her latest book entitled. The Tragedy in the Furnace Room.', LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT JERRY BARTON leaves his pole vaulting ability to MARION RILEY. GEORGE BOTT and DON MCCOSH each leave fifty pounds to DANNY BEEMAN. LARRY BOYD wills his yodeling ability to JIM KOCH. MELVIN CARMODY wills his bashfullness to little brother MARVIN, and hopes that it keeps Marvin out of trouble. DONN CONN leaves his chair in the furnace room to JOE JODER. REX COPPOM refuses to leave anything. If he can't take it with him. he's not going. ALDON ECKLAND, GARY SINNER, and DEWAIN EDGAR leave their trips to Lost Park to DEAN ENTREKIN. RICHARD DOWELL leaves his quiet manner of speaking to SUZANNE BOARDMAN. CHARLES HOWARD wills his ability to tell tall tales to SAM BARTON. RICHARD HALL and CAROLINE GETTMAN will their parking places to FLOSSIE TANNER and BOB MITCHELL. DARR JOHN leaves his trip to Lincoln to anyone who has 8550. ARNE LANDSBERG leaves his brain to DALE SMOCK. FRANKLIN MCKINLEY leaves his nickname to MR. MONTGOMERY. ELWIN OLSON wills his string of women to ROGER SMITH. MICKEY REAVIS wills his ability to make interesting speeches before the student body to BILL CAMPBELL. J. R. ROGERS leaves his joking ability to ROWENA REIN. EARL SHAUL leaves his suave manner to RODNEY DOWELL. WALTER SHOTWELL wills his always on time punctuality to GRETA OLSEN. GLENDON THOMLISON wills his studious manner to RODNEY EARHART. JACK WOODWARD leaaes his basketball ability to DICK MYERS. BOB WILKIE wills his athletic build to JERRY WOLFE. HAROLD WILKINS leaves his fun-loving personality to CONRAD THOMLISON. JEAN BOYD wills her sweet disposition to THERESA MACIAS. DONNA RAE BROWN leaves her dimples and blue eyes to MARY ANNE TAYLOR. NIILDRED CHILDS wills her long hair to CAROL ANN WOOD. DARLENE CLER and KAY MILLER leave their ability to get places fast to the Track Team. NORMA COONES wills her black hair to MARLENE LACKMAN. RITA CRAMPTON wills her voice to URSULA SCHWEIGER. BEVERLY DAILY leaves home. BEVERLY EMERY leaves the Scottsbluff boys to the Scottsbluff girls to fight over. ARLENE GREEN.
