The key to a future in baseball in high school is to learn to play as a team and work well at leading as well as following orders. The i985 Redcoat track and field team made a fine showing this sea- son. In what could be considered a 'lrebuiIding year, the runnin' Red- coats represented themselves and their school in an excellent manner. This years dedicated, hard work- ing, and cohesive team continually improved their personal times and distances and had a good time doing it. The teams spirit and unity showed through in every meet as team mem- bers cheered on all participants. State meet qualifiers were Natalie King in the l00 and 200 meter dashes, Bernie Dalton, Mike Dirks, Matt Dirks, Edgar Hauser in the 4xl00 meter l'elGy Gnd DCIVG BCIFTO- Thank you alumni helpers: Jamie SandovaI'84, Joe Gaudio '83, Ieffil Andy MCCOmber, Motf Di,-ks Helena Wise '83, Sheila Saunders '84 and Tina Gamboa. and Edgar Hauser in the 4x l 00 relay. Class records were set by Dave Barto- letti 800 meter and Matt Dirks 400 meter.
