The tournament was held in Miles City Dec. 1-3. The overall record for the team was an impressive 26-2. The only losses came from Big Sandy during the regular season and from Rocky Boy at the divisional tournament. The team went undefeated at the state tournament. Individuals were honored with special awards for their efforts and performances. Jaymie Chery and Steph Spencer were placed on the first team All-Conference; Chery and Spencer were members of the All-Division tournament team; Chery, Spencer and Kristy Poindexter were placed on the All-State tournament team- Chery and Spencer, first team and Poindexter, second team; Chery and Spencer were chosen by the coaches as first team All-State players and Chery was voted Most Valuable Player for the 1988 Class C Girls' State Basketball Tournament. Jaymie was also chosen by the Tribune Sports Staff as being one of the ten best basketball players in the state. Coach Brenda Heramb-Clark was honored with the Coach of the Year.
