I had three main goals in mind: to improve my English skills, to meet new people and to learn about the American school system. Now I can say that I have achieved my goals. Even though I still don't speak perfect English, 1 have improved a lot in terms of reading, writing and understanding. 1 have met many people and 1 have to say it is very hard to find any friendlier people than you are here. I also have learned about the school system. 1 am very impressed with your athletic program. Besides giving students something to do. the team really entertained the whole community. 1 hao a great time playing football and basketball. 1 especially enjoyed the basketball games. In my home town it is really hard to get people to any games. Here the gymnasium was always full, rep-band playing, cheerleaders on the floor, big crowds cheering and of course a great basketball team playing made these gamenights terrific. I was also impressed with the music program. Almost every child here was able to play some instrument. 1 had a great time playing in band, accompanying the chorus, and of course playing solos in the music festival. These music festivals really makes music students improve. I was amazed over some of the solos in the state music festival. Now that my year is over it is time for thank you's. Pd like to thank all of you people for being so friendly to me: I'd like to thank all of the teachers for being patient with me; Pd like to thank my senior class for making the school year go fast; but most of all I want to thank my host family Elaine and Leslie Williamson for sharing their home with me. Without them 1 would have never been able to come to Geraldine. I have to go home soon, but 1 am happy to have my arents come here to Montana. During my year here 1 have earned to appreciate my family and especially my country. Even though 1 am anxious to go back home 1 am sad about leaving Geraldine. I will miss you all and I hope PU see you seme day again.
