Every which way but loose! Fall, 1980, ushered in the football season for Geral- dine High School. They used this season to build their young team for the future. It may not have been a winning season but the experience gained by the many sophomore and freshman players was invaluable. The first game ended in a crushing defeat for the Tigers by the Augusta Elks with a score of 50-0. The next game was played against Power. The Pirates scored 48 points and geraldine scored 12. Geyser was the sight for the Tigers next encounter ana, although they foueht a hard battle, they lost 56-14. Tne Tigers took a severe lashing at the hands of the Box Elder Bears in the 1980 Homecoming game. The score was a disappointing 31-0. The following week the team travelled to Centerville where they lost against heavy odds. The score was 50-0. The final game of the season was played at Geraldine. Playing under poor weather conditions, the Tigers put up a nght against the Dutton Cardinals. The closing score for the season was Cardinals-44; Tigers-26. 'Ring around the rosie .' Oh, please, may I have the ball? 24 S and S Ceramics Geraldine Brad Taylor eludes the opposition in an effort to gain yardage.

Eat your heart out Charlie's Angels. The Eighth grade took first place in the float building competition. At the Thursday night pep rally, the Letter Club Bon- fire was a spectacular beginning for Homecoming week. Homecoming festivities began with the Bonfire on Thursday, October 2, 1980. The Homecoming parade was held on October 4, before the football game against Box El- der. In the float building competition the Eighth grade took first place, the Junior Class took second, and the Sophomore Class took third. The Juniors sponsored a Sloppy Joe Dinner after the parade and the Homecom- ing Dance later tnat evening. The Notorious Bandits played to a large crowd at the dance. At midnight the Royalty was announced and given memory necklaces and roses. The Sophomore float, entitled Running Bear , took third place. i m ERS LIGHT OUR LIVES The Seniors added some humor to the parade with their Bic Lighters. 26 Missouri River Lumber Company Fort Benton
