Every which way but loose! Fall, 1980, ushered in the football season for Geral- dine High School. They used this season to build their young team for the future. It may not have been a winning season but the experience gained by the many sophomore and freshman players was invaluable. The first game ended in a crushing defeat for the Tigers by the Augusta Elks with a score of 50-0. The next game was played against Power. The Pirates scored 48 points and geraldine scored 12. Geyser was the sight for the Tigers next encounter ana, although they foueht a hard battle, they lost 56-14. Tne Tigers took a severe lashing at the hands of the Box Elder Bears in the 1980 Homecoming game. The score was a disappointing 31-0. The following week the team travelled to Centerville where they lost against heavy odds. The score was 50-0. The final game of the season was played at Geraldine. Playing under poor weather conditions, the Tigers put up a nght against the Dutton Cardinals. The closing score for the season was Cardinals-44; Tigers-26. 'Ring around the rosie .' Oh, please, may I have the ball? 24 S and S Ceramics Geraldine Brad Taylor eludes the opposition in an effort to gain yardage.
