Royalty Reigns Over Homecoming Although slightly marred by Geyser's forfeit on Saturday, October 9th, the celebration of the 1976 Geraldine Home- coming was successful in other respects. The annual Bon- fire and Snake Dance were cancelled because of the lack of an athletic contest for the weekend. Saturday morning the floats were judged in their respective locations before exposure to the elements. The parade went ahead as planned while townspeople turned out to view floats and other groups. Saturday evening, students and citizens were entertained to a Homecoming Dance sponsored by the Junior Class. Seniors Pam Scribner and Casey Joyce were crowned Queen and King along with their attendants; Junior Princess Lonelle Sangsland, Sophomore Princess Brenda Knedler, and Fresh- man Princess Tracy Spurgeon. The results of the float judg- ing were announced also at the dance. The Junior Class Royalty float took first, the Freshmen taking second and the Eighth Grade third.
