f Somewhere at the end of this tip, lies . • • the thinker a well deserved rest. The pains we must go through to be a star. The boys' track team did quite well this year. The events in which they were entered are as follows: Bob-shot put, 440, 440 relay, mile relay; Tony-javelin, discus, 440, 440 relay, mile relay; Mark-low hurdles, high hurdles, mile relay, Bryan-shot put, discus; Greg-long jump, Richard-long jump, triple jump, high jump; John-100, 220, low hurdles, 440 relay, mile relay; Kevin-javelin, long jump, 440 relay, mile relay; Bart-100, 220, 440 re lay, mile relay; Randy-880, mile. The following qualified for divisional: Bob-shot put, both relays. Tony-javelin, discus; Bryan-shot put; Rich-high jump; John, Kevin and Bart-both relays. Those going to State were Bob in shot put and Tony in javelin. Three school records were set in boys track. Bob in shot put at 48'2 and Tony in discus at 127' and also javelin at 155'6 . All those who went to divisional lettered. The coach was Mr. Bill Silvius. The year was good for the girls, too. The events in which they were entered are as follows: Terri-80 and 100 hurdles 440 relay, 880 medley relay; Sheila-discus, shot put, javelin; Lonette-shot put; Lonelle-880, mile; Cris-shot put discus, javelin; Myrna-100, 220, 440 relay, 880 medley relay; Cecilia-100, 220, 440 relay, 880 medley relay; Brenda-440, 440 relay, 880 medley relay. The following qualified for divisional: Terri-both relays; Myrna-both re- lays; Cris-discus; Cecilia-100, 220, both relays; Brenda-both relays. Those going to State were Terri, Myrna, Brenda and Cecilia-all in the 440 relay. Cecilia also went in the 100 and 220. Those who went to divisional'let- tered in track. 21
