National Honor Society To become a member of the Geraldine Chapter of the National Honor Society, a student must have a grade of B” or better for a semester. One must then go through a screening process by members in the Society and a faculty group to determine whether they fulfill the other requirements—Character, Leadership, and Service, Associate members are also elected. They are sopho- mores who demonstrate the same potential of regular members, but they have no vote. This year Jim Woodbum, Karen Harrer, Janet Myers, and Jack Owen were elected. Annual Staff Through combined efforts, the members of the 1973 Safari Staff have constructed this yearbook, hoping that it would preserve the wonderful memories of the 1972-1973 school year. Our main activity, besides constructing the yearbook, was earning the finances to make it possible. During the year, we sold advertisements, yearbooks, and held a Christmas Bake Sale to meet these needs. We w'ould like to express sincere gratitude to our parents, advertisers, teachers, student photographers, Pete Magnuson, and the community as a whole for their support and cooperation. We also would like to extend a special word of thanks to our sponsor: Dub Mogstad and Mr. Smith. They contributed a large amount of their time, ideas, assistance, understanding, and many cheery words while we were constructing this yearbook.
