CLASS HISTORY On a clear, sunny day in August of 1960, twenty-two scared, but willing freshmen, walked through the doors of good ol' G.H.S. The next month, we were initiated by the sophomores. We had our return party for them in October. Our class officers for that year were: PRESIDENT VICE PRESIDENT SECRETARY TREASURER STUDENT COUNCIL REP. ADVISOR Buzz Robison Steve Johnson Marcus Nichols Barry Zanto Sherry Lundy Mr. Irons Ginger Buck was elected cheerleader from our class. Sherry Lundy was our queen candidate for Orange and Black Day. Betty Meyer was our Prom Princess. Our class enrollment for the year of 1961 was twenty-three, an increase of one from last year. This year we had the pleasure of initiating the freshmen. Our class officers for this year were: PRESIDENT VICE PRESIDENT SECRETARY-TREASURER STUDENT COUNCIL REP. ADVISOR Sherry Lundy Barry Zanto Peggy Atchison Paul Dorrance Mr. Dwello Ginger Buck was once again elected cheerleader from our class. Bette Burch was our queen candidate for Orange and Black Day. Betty Meyer and Barry Zanto were Prom Princess and Prince. In 1962 our class enrollment was twenty, and later we added one more student, George Watkins, to our class. This year our Junior Class as a group put on a class play entitled, SHY GUY. We also put on the Junior Prom, its theme topic was, The Peppermint Twist . That same year, the Junior mothers put on the Junior-Senior Banquet. Our class officers for this year were: PRESIDENT Barry Zanto VICE PRESIDENT Ginger Buck SECRETARY Carolyn Hecker TREASURER Buzz Robison STUDENT COUNCIL REP. Peter Martin ADVISOR Mr. Klimper Ginger Buck and Marsha Lee were elected cheerleaders from our class. Peggy Atchison was our queen candidate for Orange and Black Day. Laura Engellant was Prom Princess from our class. Peter Martin and Leonard Stone were Boy's State delegates. 18

In 1963 we started with an enrollment of twenty-two, but after the first semester, Pat Hayworth left our class. This year we put out an annual. We put on a Semi-For- mal Dance, and an Alumni Tea. We also put on a Senior Class Play entitled WE 'DUDE' It. PRESIDENT Peggy Atchison VICE PRESIDENT Buzz Robison SECRETARY Ginger Buck TREASURER Marcus Nichols STUDENT COUNCIL REP. Peter Martin ADVISOR Mr. Dorrance Marsha Lee and Ginger Buck were elected cheerleaders from our class. Laura Engellant and Buzz Atchison were Orange and Black Day queen and king. Ginger Buck was Prom Queen and Mike Hayworth was Prom King. Laura Engellant, Leonard Stone, and Peggy Atchison have gone to school at Geraldine all twelve years of school. 19
