The dreams of the adolescent are but visions without foundation of fact or experience; they are images of grandure that change before they attain any semblance of reality. When one experiences reality, it means that he is disposed to see situations difficult or easy in the light of facts. These facts you have acquired through diligent study for the last twelve years, and here dealt with them practically. Your parents, teachers, school board members, and other supporters of your school are happy and proud, I am sure, to see you come one step closer to fulfilling that promise to yourselves, which was made when you chose as your motto, From Dreams to Reality . It has been the constant aim of your instructors to help bridge that gap between dreams and reality. We are happy to have had this opportunity as guides to the class of nineteen hundred sixty-three. It is my hope that Geraldine School has assisted the home and the community in adequately preparing you to meet the challenge of civilian life. The teachers, through their teaching and continued guidance, can help every individual, but the individual has to cooperate and keep in mind that life need not be a struggle for existence, but rather a joyous encounter with the adventure of life. A richer enjoyment of activities lies ahead for those who utilize their talents to make this world a more harmonious place in which to live. Remember! that successful living requires cooperative effort freely and willingly given. Abide with and live by the Golden Rule, Do unto others as you would have others do unto you ! To the Senior Class of 1963 goes my sincere wish that their future be joyous and successful. 4

SCHOOL BOARD As you of the graduating class look back over your school years, you probably have already forgotten most of the trials and tribulations, the drab and monotonous classes, and that group of unreasonable individuals known as teachers. As more time goes by, you will begin to remem- ber the teachers as ordinary human beings, and school in general will be remembered as a ball , but you will also remember an incident or so that you wish could be done over. So it is with life, it is mostly hum-drum routine, and it seems there still are people around giving orders that must be followed. But, if you live a fruitful life, you will have a lot of pleasant memories and not so many memories of incidents that should be lived over. The experience you have gained in school is just as much a part of education as the academics; so use it profitably, and life will not be dull, but a pleasure.
