So that your memories of G.H. S. may remain fresh in the years to come, we, the annual staff, of 1955 proudly present this issue of the SAFARI. Within this annual, both now and in the future, may you remember your high school days, and find the inspiration to continue your future ar rivif ipc 'DedccatcoH' We, the staff of the 1955 SAFARI, proudly dedi- cate this annual to the citizens of this community who helped make possible the fine education that each boy and girl receives. They have been effective in giving every student greater opportunities for learning so that he will be better prepared to go for- ward into the future. Without the untiring patronage and munificence of these people, it would not be possible to have the school we have today. We sincerely wish to extend a token of appreci- ation to those individuals who have so unselfishly given of their time, money, and efforts to the inter- ests and advancements of the Geraldine School. To the Junior Class we leave our ability to get out of school and to have as much fun as we had this year. To the Sophomore Class we give our brains so that they too, may some- day become Seniors. To the Freshman Class we leave our class colors, aqua and white, so they won’t have to be green any more. To Kay Schlemmer we leave Connie Dammel's unbashful ways. We hope you make as much use of them as she did. To Dotty Scribner we leave Marian’s quiet ways. To Bert Brewer we leave Amy's ability to chew gum. To Roger Van Voast we leave Gyme's hair styles. To Dale Moline we leave James’ way with Donna, take good care of her for him. To John Martinez we leave Earl’s car so he can haul the Seniors around next year. To Mrs. Kennedy we leave our thanks and appreciation for always supporting the school in anyway she found possible. To Theo Nevil we gladly give all our school books so that the library down- town will be more complete. To Joe Alley, the mayor of Geraldine, we leave the power to make the teachers follow rules as they made us do. To the coach we leave Gyme’s, James’, and Earl's basketball suits. We hope he can find someone who deserves them as much as they did. To the band we leave Connie's old drum sticks and music books. To the next year's annual staff we leave all our old pictures from this year’s annual, just in case they are too broke to buy new ones. To Charlie we leave the annual and paper staff, so that Room 5 will be kept as clean as it has been. To Miss Kurtz we leave all our drawings from the Junior Prom and also our Junior play books. We know she'll never forget our class if she has these things. To the next year’s paper staff we leave our ability to type, and Connie's and Amy's old editorials. To the new school we leave the hope of larger senior classes than ours was. On December 1985 the class of 55 had a reunion at Johnson Hotel in Great Falls. Gyme Scribner wasn't able to attend for he has now taken over his father's farm and was snowed in at the time of the reunion. James Bell is now an expert TV repairman and is married to Donna who is busy taking care of their family of twelve. Earl Duvall has a big Sporting Goods Store in New York and it is a very success- ful business. He flew with his wife and family to attend the reunion. Connie Dammel is a Registered Nurse and has been in Hawaii working for the past four years. Tiny is still waiting for her to marry him. Marian Nierenberg is a famous Disk Jockey on KFBB for Melody Round Up. We all enjoy listening to Shirley and her sing. They are known as the Montana Cousins. Amy Scribner is still working in the Spot Cafe. After working sixteen hours a day she finally became the boss. We all had an enjoyable visit and we were very sorry Gyme Scribner couldn’t be with us at our class of 55 reunion. This is the first year for this type of club. Their objectives are to think more scientifically of the present everyday problems of our society and also to help improve the science de- partment. It helps to take advantage of the scientific industries in the state of Montana by taking field trips to these places. One definition of science is a broad-minded view in the affairs of a democratic society. This is one of the goals the Science Club is.trying to achieve.
