STUDENT COUNCIL The Student Council was organized under the guidance of Mr Aho Its purpose was to provide a democratic organiza- tion of the student body to aid in making a better school Thus it has promoted many of the year's activities During the second week of school the student bocty and classes elected the following officers and members: President: Sharon Duntley Vic. Pres: Donna Slowey Sec. Tres: Gloria Trevithick Class Respresentatives: Senior: Sonia Bronson, Bob Harvey Junior: Louise ’Jishmen, John Gorder Sophomore: Shirley Kosine Freshmen: Gnuck Tonne The council organized the first annual Orange 5c Black Day . It was held October 21, and was successful It plans to sponsor the school carnival which is held in the spring. 20

Third row, David Painter, Lennie Stone, Ronald Mitzner, Chuck Bucher, Donnie Thomas, Billie Spevac. PRU'IAHZ ROOM ..Tien school opened on September 2, there -jere seventeen first and second graders. Both classes made many pictures and articles in art. Tliroughout the year they decorated the room to correspond vdth each national holiday. There were very few absences due to siclcness in our room and many students had perfect attendence records. 19
