CLASS HISTOfiy On September 7, 19 9» thirteen green freshmen entered the doors of G.H.S. eager to get started and find out about high school life. Initiation was put off until the last of October, which certainly didn't hurt our feelings at all. We were dressed as cartoon characters and a generous supply of shoe polish and lipstick were used on us. But after in- itiation we were considered full fledged members of G.K.S. At our first class meeting we choose Miss Samuls as our sponsor and elected the following officers: President: Sharon Duntley Vic. Pres: nud Scribner Sec. Tres: Sonia Bronson Reporters: Patty Ludeman Bob Harvey Class Representative: Shirley Scribner The second semester Rhoene Judeman left us for Galen, Montana. There was a bang of the doors, a crash on the stairs, which meant thirteen Sophomores had started school, September 11, I95IO. The main event of the year in which we all part- icipated was the initiation of the Freshmen. After the hair had been swept away, the paint removed and all the smoke had cleared av ay, we went back to living the normal life of a Sophomore again. The following officers were elected for the year: President: Charles Dorn Vic. Pres: Danny Strate Sec. Tres: Sonia Brohnson; Reporter: Shirley Scribner Class Representative: Patty Ludeman Sponsor: Mr. Dwello Nadine Scribner left us, after the first six weeks, to be married. Bonnie Raty and Edna Willis joined us during the second six weeks. Edna left the following week. Sonia Bronson was elected cheer leader Leonard Scribner was Carnival King. 10 and from our class
