Last but not least came the Junior-Senior banquet. Our mothers did all the cooking and it was really delicious. We decorated it in the Senior Class colors again. This ended our third year in G. H. S. and with rip roaring eagerness we all looked forward to our last year in high school. (So did the teachers) On September 11, 1950, we entered the doors of G. H. S. with a feeling somewhat sad because we knewT this would be our last year in G. H. S. We took part in the Carnival by having two booths. In January we were all busy putting our annual out. In April we put on our Senior Play. It was hilarious and everyone said it was very good and we agreed with them whole heartedly. We held our Senior Dance Feb. 10th. Bill Harvey’s orchestra played for us and we had a large crowd. Our profits were large. On April 14, 1951, we were again honored by the Juniors when they presented the Junior-Senior banquet. The eats were good and the room was decorated in our colors. On May 20, Baccalaureate Services were held in the Methodist Church. On May 21, 1951, we had our class night. This proved to be very interesting. We all took part in it. On May 24, 1951, we graduated from high school into a world we knew nothing about. Where we will go and what we will do is a mystery to all of us, but what ever we do we will always have the memories of our high school days deep down inside of us. CLASS WILL I, JOYCE HENDERSON, will mv big toe to Louise Wishman as it hasn't been good since the horse stepped on it. I, JUNIOR LUHR, will my dorm manners to Darlene Robison. L LOU BRONSON, will my appetite to Sonny Moline (here’s some pills in case you over do it). I, WILEY JUEDEMAN, will my height to Dorothy Owen. I, JOANNE BOETTCHER, will my short hair cut to Gloria Trevithick. I, BOB MARTINEZ, will my lovely locks to next year’s freshmen. I, ETHEL WEIBLE, will my quiet ways to Carolyn Peters. I, EDDY ABBOTT, will my girl friend to anybody who thinks they can handle her. I, DOROTHY CLARK, will my secretarial abilities to Rita Tonne for my husband Jim wouldn’t let me sit on the boss’ lap anyway. I, JOHNNY ROWLAND, will my ability to get my bookkeeping in on time to next year’s bookkeeping class. I, BETTY JO GIESE, will my diploma to Shirley Scribner because it’s the only way she will ever get one. 1. JAMES TREVITHICK, will my abundance of pens and pencils to everyone or anyone who has never returned them in the past.

SENIOR CLASS HISTORY School opened September 8, 1947, when fourteen eager beaver frosh entered the doors of G. H. S. with greenness showing all over them, trudged up the stairs to get their first glimpse of high school. We were initiated the next week and we found out what it’s like to take orders from the upperclassmen. After rock picking and getting the goal posts in order we finally finished our toil and were ready to start a normal high school life. At our first class meeting we elected Mrs. Vail our sponsor and the following officers: President ............................................Beryl Rucker Vice President..........................................Lou Bronson Secretary and Treasurer....................Joyce Henderson Reporter...................................Dorothy Harvey We took part in the carnival by having charge of the candy and popcorn booth. We also provided refreshments for some of the school dances. Our biggest undertaking was the Freshman return party given on Dec. 16. This was in combination with the Christmas party so of course Santa Claus was there in top form, passing out the gifts we exchanged with one another. Audrey Boling and Betty Owen left during the first semester, leaving our class with a total of twelve. This about ended our first year in G. H. S. and with hopeful hearts we looked forward to our next year when we could get revenge on the meek and mild freshmen. Our second year of high school opened September 13, 1948. We held our first meet- ing the following week and nominated the following officers: President ....................................Beryl Rucker Vice President..........................................Chic Luhr Secretary and Treasurer................................Joyce Henderson Mrs. Mitzner was chosen sponsor for the year. We initiated the Freshmen September 23. Beryl Rucker was chosen class representa- tive and Lou Bronson alternate. Jeanie Ludtke and Betty Jo Peters joined our class. On September 7, 1949, there was a crash, a bang and fifteen Upperclassmen entered G. H. S. to begin their third year as Juniors. We elected officers as follows: President ..............................................Chic Luhr Vice President.........................................Wiley Juedeman Secretary and Treasurer .......................Lou Bronson Reporters....................Phyllis Bryant, Betty Jo Peters Our sponsor for the year was Mrs. Minium. Our first highlight was our Junior Play. It was presented Dec. 3, 1949. WTe were all tickled when Jeanie had to leap over chairs to catch Wiley who was supposedly crazy, but the audience went wild when that prissy old Mrs. Green alias Joyce Henderson came waddling onto the stage with her girdle a sagging. Next came the Junior Prom. W7e worked hard on this and we did not complete it until about one hour before dance time. It was decorated in the Senior Class colors, blue and white.
