5:75. SCHOOL Eefcre school started in September a considerable amount of redecorating and refinishing to the interior of the building was completed and new blackboards were installed in several departments. During the holidays much-needed new fluorescent lights were installed throughout the building, new window shades were purchased for the assembly and some of the desks were improved with new composition tops. Mr. Mark Crinklaw filled the position of janitor and maintenance man until the end of the first semester at which time he moved away from Geraldine and was suc- ceeded by Mr. Bill Mitzner. The students are appreciative of the hard work and efficient manner in which the janitorial staff maintained the clean and healthful con- ditions prevailing in the school building and auditorium this year. Other additions to the educational facilities and equipment of the building were: three new Royal typewriters and an adding machine in the Commercial Department: new maps in the Junior High: cooking utensils and pressing equipment in the Home Ec department: overshoe racks in the halls and new sanitary drinking fountains: and last but not least a number of new textbooks and athletic equipment. 'BW LQ. SCHGOI. BCDARD The Geraldine School is fortunate in having as directors of its program and facilities, the following members of the local board who are serving both the students and the community faithfully and well. Mr. Knedler, who was chairman during the current year, has been a member of the board for twelve years: Mr, Ned Bronson has served on the board for six years: Mr. Leonard Trevithick for three years: Mr. Arnold Anderson is completing the un- expired term of Mr. Howard Isaacson this year: Mr. Russell Slowey has been on the beard one year: and Mr. Harold Magnuson has served as clerk of the board for twenty- five years. We. the students. are not unaware of the long hours of planning and forethought these men have contributed to the successful operation of the school and its program. We take this opportunity to gratefully acknowledge their devotion to the youth of this community.
