Boggs, Ph.D Dr. Boggs received the degree of Bachelor of Science at the University of Georgia and became Doctor of Philosophy at the Uni- versity of Pennsylvania. During his school career he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, Phi Kappa Phi, Sigma Xi, Omicron Delta Kappa, Scabbard and Blade, Alpha Chi Sigma, and the American Institute of Chemists. He taught at the University of Maine before coming to Tech in 1903. Dr. Boggs is also a member of the Amer- ican Chemical Society and the Georgia Academy of Science. G. H. BOGGS HEPAHTME T CF CHEM Chemistry Building THE SCHOOL- The course in chemistry is fundamentally laboratory work and research leading to a degree of Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. THE PROFESSOR-John L. Daniel, A.B., M.A. Professor Daniel received his A.B. degree at Hampden- Sydney and later his lVI.A. at Washington and Lee. He was a member of Phi Kappa Phi and Omicron Delta Kappa while an undergraduate. His teaching experience began at Tech in 1912, Where he has been a member of the faculty since that time. Cersl lnic Bni lding THE SCHOOL- Ceorgia is the center of an area which produces much of the country7s supply of ceramic raw materials. Aside from furnishing Well trained men, the department aids industry by research and testing. A degree of Bachelor of Science in Ceramic Engineering is offered to those who desire to enter this field. THE PROFESSOR-Charles F. Wysong, B.S. Professor Wysong attended Belmont College and Georgia Tech Where he received the degree of Bachelor of Science in Ceramic Engineering in 1934. He was a member of the Beta Kappa Fraternity and is now a member of the American Ceramic Society and the Educational Council of the American Ceramic Society. Professor Wysongis practical experience was obtained in industrial plants in North Carolina and Washington, D. C. His teaching career began here at Tech in 1938, and he was made the acting head of the department in December, 1940.
