Shortly, though, Layton wash asked to organize a program for the day students. Physical Education 1 and 2 were La' iiecerssary part of. the College pro- gram. On good days the Courtyard at certain hours Wasefull of -students performing .class routines.. In addition, evening student teams from various organ- izations played basketball and other sports, compet- ing with each other. Soon the program expanded to competition with other teams in Atlanta. Wrestling, boxing, and bowling wereitaught, but tennis also had a place asa ,major iriterest.
