And in those schools that are trying to keep abreast of the times we see students engaging in activities . . . purposeful activities . . . meaningful experiences. Their work is planned in big blocks or UNITS OF WORK. In each unit there are many activities . . . activities that lead on into further activities. This issue of the REFLECTOR portrays college life as a large unit of work, taking each class as one of the stages in the development of the unit. The real test of any unit is its carry-over into life. Therefore, following the four stages of the development of the unit, its application in a real-life situation here on the campus is shown. It is the hope of the editors that when you are evaluating this unit of work this book may serve as a reminder of the many happy and worthwhile experiences that have contributed toward the acquisition of desirable knowledge and information, habits and skills, attitudes and appreciations.
