Believing that a thorough edu- cation must be the foundation upon which success in foreign service is built, he set out to obtain the necessary knowledge, so that in addition to receiving an M.li.S. from the School of Foreign Service, he also received an M.A. from the Graduate School of Georgetown University. But before specializing further he wished to obtain some practi- cal business experience. He became a salesman fora well-known brokerage house in Philadelphia and the knowledge he thus gained has been of great value to him. He has pursued the Diplomatic-C4insular course at the School of Foreign Service, and hopes to enter the U. S. tfonsular Service.
