His business experience has been both varied and valuable. He has worked for a large firm of New York brokers, is well acquainted with the methods of disbursing money, and has had a fine opportunity to develop tact in adjusting claims for a public utility corporation. From a strictly foreign trade standpoint his most valuable experience has been in the statistical and commodity branch of the U. S. Shipping Board. Mr. lXlcManus would be a very desirable man for an export company dealing in a commodity line or in the commodity department of a large manufacturing concern. SEVERT MARIFJEREN, L.L. B. He then entered the employ of the Government where he gained valuable business experience. He studied law at the Georgetown Law School, receiving his degree there in 1919, Mr. Marifjeren then resolved to enter the Consular Service and came to the School of Foreign Service to complete his education along these lines. For many years Mr. Martin has studied the practical end of this business and has made extended trips to sea.
