Top row — Coach Joe Scanlon, Coach Allen Werle, Fikri Yucel, Christian Bonnett, Jeff Adams, Coach Chris Naughton, Head coach Tom Kotter The Freshmen football team had a disappointing season, but they still managed to defeat two opponents. Coach Kotter can be proud of the teams’ effort. One of the teams ' strong points was the right side of the offensive line, anchored by co-captain Dave Rubino, who played center. Tackle Mike O’hara and guard Rocky Bonbrest were both effective. In the victory over Wakefield, the other captain Tim Kirlin scored one touchdown and Paul Beck ran for another to defeat the host team 14-13. Paul Colonna connected for both extra points. In the other win, Jeff Adams intercepted two passes, running one back for a touchdown. Paul Beck made a spectacular 95 yard run in the same game. Despite a poor record, the team played better together during the late season. Hopefully, they will increase their abilities and add to Prep ' s success in the future.
