CLASS HISTORY One hundred and four puprls enrolled 1n 1948 as f1rst graders rn the Georgetown School For twelve years these members of the Class of 1960 wrth some lost by the waysrde and a few added to the numbers have worn th1n the hall floors and rubbed shrny the seats of the classrooms Forty erght stalwart souls have wtthstood the Onslaughts of tests coerclon threats and brave attempts to have knowledge crammed 1nto therr unwtllrng brams After bemg tmtlated rnto our Freshman year we have added many stars to oar crown such stars as a Parcel Post Sale wrth packages from famrlxes of our classmates l1v1ng rn many parts of the Untted States the Sophomore Carnrval wrth more than a proftt fa record for Georgetown Hlgh Schoolj The Junior Play The Fury Wrthrn produced more stars than we knew we had even a baby star Nothrng but sheer gemus on the part of some members of our class could have produced such breath taktng scenery as that for the Jumor Senlor Prom where pagodas pools a brrdge and a ntnety foot mural of mountalns ID the background produced the lovely ef fects of The Tea House of the August Moon wh1ch has been a very successful one The leaders are as follows the Freshman Class lead ers were Sally Lou Wagamon presldent Costen Shockley v1ce presrdent Barbara Colllns secretary Janrce Pepper treasurer The offrcers of our Sophomore Class were Melvrn Mumford prestdent Costen Shockley v1ce presrdent Phyllls Donovan secretary and Jan 1ce Pepper treasurer Our Jumor Class offrcers were Barbara Coll1ns prestdent Harold Dodd vxce presldent Sandra Pepper secretary and IQHICC Pepper treasurer Our offlcers thls year are Harold Dodd presrdent V1rg1n1a Scott vrce prestdent Phyllts Donovan sec retary and Jantce Pepper treasurer We are indebted to the leaders of our class who have led us through our high school life,

Charlotte West - Her blushing smile to Helen Gordy and Wilma Hunter. Sue White - Her slimness to Carol Smith and Ina Wooten. Herman Willey - Leaves his likes of cars to Donald Scott.
