INA LOUISE WEST Ina has served as secretary of our class for two years, doing an excellent job. She has made an outstanding record in hockey and basketball. Ina has taken part in both our Iunior and Senior plays. She is in Photog- raphy Club, Athletic Council, and a repre- sentative in Student Council. After gradua- tion We Will probably be hearing her say, Operator, THEODORE WILSON ' Ted Ted has been an active member oi our class. He took part in the Barber Shop Quartet and was President of the Senior Rifle Club. Ted played the part ot Admiral in our Iunior play. He was a member of the football team during his first three years of high school. I ACK WALTON lack entered our class this year from Bridge- ville. He was an active member of our basket- ball team and has participated in Barber Shop Quartet and Rifle Club. lack is very energetic and his favorite pastime is teasing. When We hear someone saying, I don't know, We can be sure it is lack. ELEANOR RAYE WORKMAN t.RaYe,f Raye is the cute little blonde with the laugh- ing blue eyes. She was a member of the Chorus, Photography Club and she did a splendid job as prompter for our lunior play. Alter graduation you will find her living down near Millsboro, as she is one ot the girls with a diamond on her third finger.

ISABEL, ELLEN SHERMAN ..IS,, ls is a member of the Golden Herald staff and Chorus, Her favorite expression seems to be I don't know, while her hobby is roller skat- ing. She Worked on make-up in both the Iunior and Senior plays. After graduation Isabel plans to become a nurse, We know her conscientiousness will make her very suc- cessful in this field. RALPH CLIFFORD SHORT Shortie Shortie has been a very active member of the Senior class, l-le is President of the Future Farmers of America and a member of the Barber Shop Quartet. I-le was on the stage crew for the Iunior play. Shortie lives up to his name as he is the shortest member of our class, SHIRLEY ANN SHORT Ann Ann is one of the busiest girls in our class. She had a major role in the Iunior play and was a student in the Senior play. She was a member of both the hockey and basketball teams, secretary of the Athletic Council, Edi- tor of the Golden Herald and a member of the yearbook staff, Ann will continue her edu- cation after graduation. VIRGINIA WALTER iiGinnYff The outstanding capableness she has shown in handling responsibilities induced our class to choose Ginny as editor of the yearbook. She was a member of the Chorus and Golden Herald. Ginny was also a member of the cast in both plays, Iunior and Senior. Her classmates are wondering about her achiev- ing so much in so little time. I-ler happy dis- position will prove to be very beneficial to her in the nursing field.

Then in our sophomore year initiation again . . .. only this time we weren't on the receiving end . . . at Christmas we had a party . . . funny presents and singing Christmas carols . . . Finally we got to move to the seats reserved for juniors . . . a lovely Christmas Dance with a beautiful tree in the center of the gym . . . remember all the rehearsing for the play and rush- ing like mad to sell ads and tickets . . . finally the PROM! . . . what to use for a theme . . . it was hard to decide but our Club '51 Was, well, just Wonderful! . . . At last . . . seniors . . , and wasn't there a lot to do! . . . getting our rings . . . everyone going around holding out his hand self- consciously . . . giving our play Our Miss Brooks . . . Aubrey as student council president . . . Dale as our class president . . . ordering our name cards and announcements . . . eating a de- licious Christmas dinner on the twenty-first of December and dancing until 12 . . . homework . . . werent we glad when Easter vacation came . . . almost through . . . getting our college appli- cations in . . . already looking for jobs . . . senior themes . . . examinations . . . another Prom . . . for this one we can relax . . . were the guests . . . our senior trip . . . the Golden Shield coming out . . . class night . . . baccalaureate . . . commencement.
