GEOftfiETOWN PMBOOV LI6R4SV GEORGETOWN, M tSS ( GEORGETOWN PEABODY LIBRARY 3 2120 00069 401 6 For Reference Not to be taken from this room • • « p j j xi l-i The 1983 Georgian Dedication Miss Donna Privitera Friendship Is a happy thing It makes us laugh It makes us sing It makes us sad It makes us ciy It makes us seek the reason why It makes us take it makes us give above all else it makes us live!! We, the Class of 1983, have always been close to one another. Part of this closeness has been brought about by friendships created while working on class projects, which never would have been possible without the help and encouragement of our class co-advisor Miss Donna Privitera. Throughout the past three years Miss Priv has been an outstanding influence on the attitude our class has portrayed. Priv worked along with us as a director and critic of our work and character. During the time we have known her, she has given us her support, love, and friendship, showing us that she cared — not only for us as a whole, but also as individuals. Her faith has made it possible for each of us to achieve the goals we have set and also to create many happy memories while doing so. Without Miss Priv our high school years would not have been as successful or memorable. Realizing this, the Class of ' 83 chose to dedicate this year’s Georgian to our hard-working and dedicated co-advisor. Miss Privitera. Yearbook Staff The Georgian of 1983 — Abook full of memories, both happy and sad, made lo capture all ofthe times of our last year in high school ... A lot of hard work and long hours were put into the making of this book by a lot of people, and I want these people to know that under all of my nagging, there was an enormous amount of appreciation; just knowing that you cared enough to help. I know at times it was tough, but thanks for bearing with me. Although several seniors contributed to this book, I would like to make a special thank you to Peter Clark, who gathered a majority of the ads, and made it possible for us to finance this book. Kathie Collamore, Lisa Curran, Ann Marie Goodwin, and Kelly Shaw also deserve some recognition because without them, 1 think I would have gone crazy. When I felt lost, these four were always there for me to depend on in some way or another, and it was a comfort knowing so. Beth MacKenize, the Art editor, also deseives a sincere thank you for all her hard work concerning the dividers. Finally, I would like to thank my parents for putting up with me thi’ough this whole experience because I know at times I was not the most pleasant person to be around. 1 had a lot on my mind and it was comforting to know that I had their support. The job has been tough, but I have to say I sincerely do not regret accepting tl ie responsibility of capturing the memories of the respected class of ’83. — Kelly Knight Editor Row 1: L. In our search to fmd our place in life however, we have encountered numer- ous upsets as well as difficulties; but through the guidance of many concerned individuals we have managed to overcome these obstacles and succeed in our endeavors. One special person we owe a lot of thanks to is Mrs. Gilmar- tin. Besides keeping up with her own office work and helping us along the road to college, she managed to fmd time to contribute to the production of this yearbook. When thmgs were rough and deadlines were approachmg, she never let it get to her, or to us. She kept her spirits up, which m turn helped us get by; just knowmg that we had her support. Thank you Mrs. Gilmartm, your help was well appreciated. V Through the years our class has grown; and along with us, our two advisors Miss Priv and Mrs. Bracci have joined together to create many beautiful memo- ries. Their own hard work and determmation have inspired our class, givmg us the confidence and lead- ership we needed. Thank you Miss Priv and Mrs. Brac- ci for all of your guidance and friendship. You’ve been a big part of our lives and we’ll always have a place for you in our hearts. Finally, we would like to thank everyone who has helped in making our high school years successful — the names could go on forever. There is one person who we owe our begmnmg to however — Miss Cathy Skeirdc. She got us started and helped us on the way to becommg what we are now. 135 H And In ' diaaing whai I Lhoughi, were moc3nl-)eame r i i : I had run into a couple of walls . . .
