The Senior Class Play is two things, the show on stage and the endless hours of practice and pain behind. Two months before you see an audience you are there for tryouts, then afternoons are gone, and the words Do it again” are the things you fear the most in the world. Every time you come off stage you can think of a thousand little things that would have made you, the character, more real. Then comes the moment when you KNOW you are two people — you and the person in the playbook. The night comes and all the fears are back, lines you know in your sleep are suddenly forgotten.
