EDITOR’S FOREWORD Our senior year has been a year of high productivity and accomplish- ment all over the world. Never has the standard of living been any higher than it is today. The opportunities for one to improve his status in life have never been greater. There has never been such a great economic revolution in the world as that experienced in the United States today. The average family in this country maintains at least one radio, a tele- vision set, as well as two cars. Yet, despite this affluence, one-third of the world ' s population is starving in utter poverty. Our valuable natural resources are extrava- gantly wasted. The nations of the world, rather than uniting to solve these problems, have divided into armed camps, prepared to launch themselves into a war instantly. The generation before us did a great deal to improve the world, but we are still far from an ideal situation. We, the youth of today and the citizens of tomorrow, should strive to make the world a better place in which to live. It is our job to prevent the malignant growth of Communism and the Viet Nams of tomorrow; it is our job to destroy the racial pre- judices which exist today; it is our task to uphold the ideals of mankind and to attempt to realize them. - Steve Mullen, Editor 2

We, the members of the senior class, wish to dedicate the 1966 GEORGIAN to a man who has meant a great deal to us. From time to time, each of us has gone to him with our prob- lems. The counsel he gave us at these times will have as much influence on us in the future as it had in the past. In appreciation of all his earnest efforts in our behalf, we dedicate our yearbook to Mr. Daniel Gulezian. Remember this also, and be well persuaded of its truth: the future is not in the h ands of Fate, but in our own. - Jules Jusserand 3
