ii d MWrV, J THE SENIORS OF GEORGETOWN HIGH SCHOOL PRESENT THE 1962 GEORGIAN” For the five years he has been here, he has gained the respect of many students at Georgetown High School. His complete unselfishness as a teacher, as well as a friend, has helped us, the Seniors, in climbing our ladder of success. His special interest in each student, as an individual, inside or outside of school, has aided the student body tremendously. If any of us ever had any problems, we were always welcome at his home. Of course there were many times when he had to lay down the law, but the detentions were always earned. His over -abundance of school spirit has been very much appreciated. Without him, we might not have had several extra-curricular activities, which he so generously volunteered to supervise. He has given of himself in every respect. It is with much gratitude that we, the Class of 1962, dedicate this, the GEORGIAN, to you, Mr. Harvey Mades. GUIDANCE With our new Georgetown High School, our school system also in- augurated a brand new Guidance Department. Our first Director of Guidance was Mr. William F. Shea, who came to us from a similar position on Amesbury. Mr. Shea did a wonderful job for our school and we wish him all success in his work of establishing a new college in New Hampshire, Nathaniel Hawthorne College. He assumed his new duties at the close of our school in June. Mr. Shea worked closely with all of us. Part of his time was devoted to the Perley Elementary School, but his efforts in behalf of us seniors were especially helpful. Clerical assistants in the Guidance Office this year included Mary Anne Vie ra, Karen Strogney, Ronna Falabella, and Beverly Tyrie. 15 nraSpHR] MM| ROW ONE: Powell, Tynes, Dexter, Eaton, Frazier, Sue Rogers, Covey, Kelloway, D. CAPTAIN LOUISE RICHARDSON Early season conditions indicated that we would have a successful season. But one original roster of thirty candidates dwindled to thirteen. We can, however, be proud of these thirteen who played both offensive and defensive ball. We, who are graduating, -- Doug Boyd, Paul Brackett, Dick Fiske, Tom Flanigan, Dick Pres- cott, and Don Reed -- hope for an undefeated season next season with Dave Morse replacing the 1961 Co-Captains, Dick Seaman and Dick Fiske.
