Though our works are not perfection From the first we have improved, In time, we hope, our most glaring faults may be removed. Though at times we felt discouraged When we settled down to work— So many things were gayer, tempting us to shirk— Mothers, dads, and teachers, too, Kept our eyes upon the value we receive, So they deserve much credit for what we may achieve. Though our main desire is learning We like fun most any day, When work is done, you'll find us laughing and gay. Though our common call to study It seems must always have its way, Still there’s time for cheerful chatter—we must say! Old G.H.S. has stored our minds With thoughts for future gain, It’s helped each one of us to make a better name.
