JANUARY—Cont'd. 5 The boys hit the basket so much that they got a trophy and then had ''Red'1 and Legs pose with it. 18 The ex-soldiers were entertained by our sweet-voiced students, and their sweet-sweet-voiced horns. (Wonder if they still thought they were on the front?) 31 Madame Acksonjay—what does this long line mean? FEBRUARY 9 The boys, boo, hoo! The girls, Foo, too; In bed with the flu. Katchoo, Katchoo! 14 Louise and Johnny are making eyes. (Could it be that he is her valentine?) 15 Say, there, those Junior girls type right along, don't they? 27 The boy from Minnesota really trucked around with that basketball. MARCH 3 It sure did us good to see Danville get beat by Indianola. What's that? Well-ll, we sort of lost ourselves, but— 7 To be or not to be or something like it was what the Olivet boys argued a solid two hours over. 14 I can still taste that Heavenly Hash the Home Ec. girls served. 15 Goodness pays! We salute you, Lucy Jane. 3 I Clara and Bennet—candy helped them along the road to success. APRIL 2 The house was packed, the gum put away, and the Spring Concert began. 10 Somehow, someplace, oh, well, anyway, Aneita came back with a sparkler,” not on her right, but on her left hand. 14 It's a grand race—first the Purples, then the Whites! 21 What a pl y! You're going to laugh and laugh and laugh. MAY 5 We laughed and Miss Henderson giggled. I 8 Everyone looked so pretty—the girls with their long dresses and the boys clean behind the ears. We thank you, Juniors. 3 I A tear dashed quickly aside—it makes us feel kind of sad to leave you and the little mice, but remember the class of '39 when they are famous. Auf Wiedersehen.

MY REVERIE SEPTEMBER 6 Here's starting out a brand new year with a brand new smile and two beautiful new teachers! 13 Step right up and cast your vote — Bob was officially elected President of the Seniors. 17 Heave to! Heave Ho! Georgetown band is on the go! OCTOBER 14 With anxious eyes we watched the board. And was Urbana burned up when they saw us score! 20 The tears trickle down the gals' cheeks as they watch the big and brawnies leave for Gary. (Mary and Betty went too.) 21 A stitch in time saves nine, still holds good—eh, Ike? 25 Fifty-nine girls solemnly swore not to eat between meals. We ought to have a fair bunch of Venus’s in a month. NOVEMBER I I heard one Frosh say he made a 90— must be Paul's wife's doings. 18 Shiver my timbers—those Juniors sure do know their murders. Ellen, you were wonderful. 24 The day before. 25 The day. 26 The day after and, oh, the miseric! 28 The picture taking man was here- - I almost didn't recognize Billy wiili shoes on. DECEMBER I Max the Wenskunas is our next captain. Oh, boy! 3 All State thinks much of our loccl talent. Eh, Sam? 4 Do, re, me, fa. Yes, the girls sang— and does Miss Hill look relieved. 5 Said Cole: Absence makes the hear! grow fonder. Said Koalbucket : Oh, yeah! Absence makes the grades grow rounder 23 Everyone went around with a di vine look on their faces—almost sec wings on Steve! 25 Merry Xmas everybody. That mean'; you, too, Bernice. JANUARY 3 Jean did right well by herself—let's learn her technique.
