Track In the past years our track teams have consisted in a large part of Juniors and Seniors who have made a name for themselves in some other sport and became interested in track because it came in the spring. This year we have a nice group of boys, including some Freshmen and Sophomores. Minnie Moose’s Diary CALENDAR My name is Minnie the Mouse I live here with Micky. My spouse. I ve recorded each day. in my own little way The happenings here in this school house. The Seniors have borrowed this record from me They neglected to keep one themselves, as you see. They wanted it badly. I gave it up gladly And I charged only a very small fee. Sept. 2—School begins. Oh. kid. ain't that new teacher good looking?” Seniors trying to look important. Sept. 10—Esther Haworth started the year out by lifting her lovely voice in song to entertain the Assembly while the teacher was out of the room. Sept. 21—First Football game—at Ridge-farm. The season starts out with a good crowd and a tie score! Oct. 7—Fire drills today. Gosh, the noise’ Oct. 10—Will school ever get settled? Dramatic Club organized today. Bea and Eleanor elected cheerleaders, and the patrol appointed. Oct. 17—Roy Patten was chosen to be the editor of the annual. Blackie will be F. F. A. President. Oct. 18 Lloyd and EU:s were in an auto wreck today. Oct. 26—The mountain boys showed their skill on the dance floor as well as on the football field. He’s way up thor! I’m way down h’yer! Oct. 30—Big Halloween party in the gym. George was a little too handy with that paddle. I left early. Nov. 8—The Juniors turned the stage into a refreshment stand today for their play. I had a swell seat—right on the top of the piano. Nov. 1 1—Armistice day. Oh joy. no school. First appearance of the new satin football pants in the Hoopeston game. Nov. 21. 22. 23—H. S. Conference. Switzer wonders ’’Why can't this go on forever? Nov. 2 7—Peace for four days. The mob's having their Thanksgiving vacation. Dec. 2—-Elias Tamboritzas Serenaders. Good, if you like music. Dec. 10—Music Festival at Westville. Why doesn’t somebody tell those girls they can’t sing? Dec. 1 1—Football banquet at the Christian Church. I went too—in Roscoe's pocket. Swell eats! Dec. 12—The Exclusive Dramatic Club condescended to admit the Junior Play Cast to membership. Dec. 1 3—First basketball game. Beat Armstrong! Dec. 16—Future Farmers had a party. More eats! Dec. 1 9—The Dramatics Club and Choruses gave a swell Christmas program. Dec. 20—Not much studyin’ done today. Everybody's looking forward to vacation. Dec. 28—Mickey and I built a nest in Eileen James' desk. It won't be found there. Jan. 6 Everybody back looking dumber than ever. Jan. 10—-Heard from my perch beneath the radiator—“No. you can't come to this party! No Juniors are invited, as its very exclusive, and for Seniors only! Jan. 2 3. 24—Finals.
