Music and Literary Contestants Georgetown High went into the conquest of new fields this year in the music and speech departments. The music division took its first step and entered Alto. Baritone, and Tenor soloists at Bismark. Winifred Collom took first in her division but was unable to go further because of sickness. They brought home the first place banner for class B schools. The speech contestants were unusually successful this year under the new coach. Miss Van Tress. Two people, namely, the orator and the original orator, triumphed in the sub-district contest at Rankin but found stumbling blocks at Bloomington. All but one of the contestants won at the subcounty.
