NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY The National Honor Society was organized in Georgetown High School in 1934. Students are selected on the basis of four standards: Scholarship. Leadership. Character, and Service. Fifteen percent of the eighth semester students, ten per cent of the seventh semester students, and five per cent of the sixth semester students are eligible. Vance Emory. Bernice Scott and Louise Jenkins were elected last year. This year Chester Smith. George Kotcher, Esther Haworth. Helen Herren. Ruthmary Emory, and Betty Stockard were elected from the Senior Class. A few new members were added, however. The girls' division was not used. The rules for the members were practically the same but a small revision in the organization was made.
