P While I have been working very hard to save some money so that I might some dey take a trip, I have now reached that goal. I left on .Tune 5, 1960. I boarded s plane and guess who was pilot. No other than Bobby Baker. I ordered a bite to eat and the waitress came in and it was, yes, Norma Beary., the stewardsss. When I got off the plane I flagged a taxicab, with Johnw Voyles- at the wheel. I got to 5th and lhrket and stopped off to buy me a drink., and who was the bar tender but Delbert Sharp. I decided then to read up on the latest news.. I didn't have aw change so I got it from a singing beggar who surprised me to be Charlie Kerr. I began to read the headlines and they read as follows: EDDND ENABLE ON BOND FOR NONSUPPORT OF TEN CHILDRE1. That really stunned me but not so much as later I found out that his wife was Dorothy Gunn.. I decided to see the New York Yankees play baseball and who do you think was on the mound but Dallas Utzf, with Dickie CYoggiJ Willis behind the plate. You should have seen lhnagecr Ibler Reilliller giv- ing the umpire heck, who was George Ihensetter,, which surprised me a bit too. While watching the gms a fight started in. the stands. lhen the police nabbed thm, it was Bobby lliller and Bobby Dreher fighting over Barbara llills. I then left the gms and went to a prize fight to see a champion- ship bout between Cecil Loclenan, 235 lbs. and the contender Edwardl Cecil 185 lbs. It was: aa good fight until Edward knocked Cecil out of the ropes in the second round. Leaving the big city, I decided to take in a circus. I met some other school pals from-Georgetown back in 1952. .I saw Earlene Craig, the thinnest woman in the world, bar none, Karl Jenkins, the ugliest nan in the world, llarilyn Byrne, the fattest woman in the world, Larry Board, the man no one could throw down in 5 minutes, .Tunes Farnsley,. the 85-foot well diver, Regina llcCauley, the mst beautiful woman in the world.. While leaving the circus, e hungry old beggar was asking for mney. I kindly gave Paul Hise 504. From there I went to a high class night club with no other than the mmlti-millionaire, Donnie Keithley, in his 1960 Rocket.. The club was a swell place with owner llartha Perkins selling cigarettes. The enter- taiment was provided with lhrilyn lissi singing 'Rocket Ship Boogie.' All went well till the police had to throw Patty lalts out because she was disturbing the peace.. Some of my pals had good jobs in the Woolworth Store too. I met Virginia Rouck selling girdles, Ihncy lhson selling books on 'How to- Hold a llan,' and Wilma Long selling diapers.

As I have seen all that I wanted to see and a little more, I boarded a plane and flew for home. I had a swell time till I got home and found out that Bernadette Marking had hung herself in the garage leaving a not saying, ' I couldn't get a man,' I sure felt sorry for that girl. To find out that Anna Marie had her second set of triplets gave me all the thrills I could stand on one trip '. Wana Valedictorian .. . . .. Dorothy Gunn Salutatorian .. . . Anna White Athletic . . Johnny Voyles Commercial .A . llarilyn llisei Activities In llarilyn Byrne Band .. .h . Janes Farnslqy Glee Club . .. ...... . Dorothy Gunn n.A.n. Good 'citizenship .. . . . lm-me Pu-kim
