Wdczfofaq On September l, 1948, we began our four years of high school at old G. H. S. as Green Freshman. lhch was to happen in those coming years, but we were too concerned about initiation to think unch of the future. We know that every organization must have leaders so we held an election. 'lhe winners: Martha Perkins, President-- Charles Kerr, Vice President--Nancy Mason, Secretary--Billy King, 'h'easurer-- And to keep the world informed of our progress--Anna Goodman and George Umensetter. llr. McAfee was chosen as our sponsor. le worked hard that first year, but a skating party and a pic- nic brightened things. September 3, 1948 soon rolled around and we began once more filling our heads with the fine points of education. The election disclosed new faces among our leaders. They were: Charles Kerr, President--James Spalding, Vice President--Cecil Lockman, Secretary --Patty Walts, Treasurer--Nancy lhson, Delbert Sharp, Reporters. For entertainment we again went skating and had a picnic. Vacation quickly passed and we returned to reacquaint ourselves with school and schoolmates as Jolly Juniors, on Septsnber 6, 1950. The new officers--Donald Corbett, President--Dickie Willis, Vice President--Anna Goodman, Secretary--Patty Walts, Treasurer--Evelyn Sinners and Bobby Baker, Reporters. The theme of our reception for the Seniors was 'Hitch Your Wagon to a Star'. We had a lot of fun along with the work gett- ing ready for it. September 7, 1951 began our shortest and most manorable year at G. H. S. To lead us through that year we elected Martha Perkins, President--Dallas Utz, Vice President--Patty Walts, Treasurer-- Anna Goodman, Secretary-- and Marilyn Missi and Delbert Sharp, Reporters. In January we elected a new Secretary, Virginia Houck. The Junior and Senior reception started the activities off at the end of the year. Then came Baccalaureate, but the things that we'll probably remember most are commencement and our trip to Chicago
