Farewell to Teachers Many of our teachers departed in 1963 and we here wish them well in their new surroundings. At right, Mrs. Medley, who retired from teaching, receives a gift from Bob Giddings and Melvin Jacob, officers in Science and Math Club. Below our departing teachers carry on in their ordinary manner as they chug away from Georgetown High. Mr. Fred Bell is gently encouraging the engine, and of course, Mrs. Barnes must drive while Mr. Barnes meditates on the best route to take. Mrs. Medley is still dazed from her summer's trip round the world, but good sport that she is, goes along for the ride. Mr. Paine relaxes after his hard year, but Mr. Jackson can't relax. He continues to direct. Mrs. Dannelley urges the driver to go faster, and Miss Gilbert with her accurate foot and Mr. Rosser wielding his paddle, ride along balanced on the heads of the others. Good -by, dear teachers, our loss is someone else's gain. ,.. The Admmzstratzon is pleased .O nounce that after several years of planning and discussion the contracts are signed for the construction of the new Junior High School in the Crestview Addition of Georgetown. Su- perintendent Bell states that the building will be ready for use in the fall of 1964. The High School Building will be completely renovated, and the West Side School will also be completed. MRS.
