Billy Headrick, Clifford Lundquist, and Billy Tombs took part in the discus throw. 14446 Emest Kimbro tied for second place at district meet. His eleven-foot vault Charlie Chance and Bill Snowden each took fourth place at district, in broad jump and high jump respectively. Bubba Kimbro and Billy Tombs pole vaulted. broke the old record. The Junior sprint team included Jerry Bane, Larry Hausenfluck, Don Will- iams, Neil Harris, and Jimmy Glover. Heads up--Wilford Bane, Donald Barrington, Bubba Kimbro, and Milton Den- ham, who placed third in district in the mile relay. The hurdlers were Billy Headrick, Benny Davis, Lane Powers, and Don Parker. Joe Ed Barrington and Johnny Tombs ran the mile. Joe Ed was fifth in district. Charlie Guantt and Billy Tombs ran the 880 yd. dash. Charlie placed fifth in district.
