The Eagles held the lead all the way. September 17 - Eagles vs. Dragons The first home game was a tough duel between the Round Rock Dragons and the Georgetown Eagles. The Dragons won by 13-0 score, September 24 - Eagles vs. Lions Georgetown went to Granger and had an easy win over the Lions. It was a free scoring contest of 51-19. Coaches Choice for All-District First Team: End, Barney Stanleyg Center, Curtis Gibbsg Back, Wilford Bane. Second Team: Tackle, Joe Ed Barringtong Guard, Billy I-leadrick, Honorable Mention: Back, Charles Chance: Guard, Albert Landry: Back, Ernest Kimbrog Back, Milton Denham. Each class sold season tickets, competitively, with the senior class leading. Wil- ford Bane was outstanding for the Eagles, scoring 22 of the 29 points. October 8- Eagles vs. Trojans The West Trojans tramped the Eagles 38 to 12. The only Eagle scores came in the third quarter with Wilford Bane carrying the ball. West scored in all quarters. October 22 - Eagles vs. Tigers Georgetown took its first district game 25 to 6 over the Rockdale Tigers. ln the second quarter, Joe Barrington, a tackle, intercepted a pass and ran 96 yards for the touchdown.
