Zend ?aal1f Kenneth Behrens and June Burkhart in a dreamy waltz. The Band Boosters' Club each year gives a Christmas party for the members of the band. This year it was held at the Country Club. The pictures on this page show the band members and friends having fun, Patricia Lackey, Sammie Wilcox, I. E, Stubbs, and Band Boosters' president Eddie Cloud enjoy a game at the band's Christmas party, LE. Stubbs, left, and John Hancock right, watch David Watts and Don Williams pass the apple in an apple relay. Norman Boufford, Mary Ann Jones, Verly Hunt, and R. J. Mott attempt to follow Virginia Whitfield's directions in one of the games played at the band party. Martin McClain, Harriet Berglund, Angela Engelbrecht, and Wayne Johnson enjoy refreshments.

During the holiday season both the freshman and senior classes had a class party. The freshmen had a sock hop, and the seniors had a New Year's Eve party. The Spanish H class gave the special assembly pro- gram on December 22. lt was an informal play picturing a party given by the Spanish class for the underpriviliged children. .,,. , E N X Clayton Hunt comes falling in fwith the presentsj to the surprise of La Nell Carlson, Gary Granger and Sammy Wilcox in the Christmas program given in assembly. La Nell Carlson, Larry Eads, and Sammy Wilcox dress David Queen to play Santa Claus in the Christmas program. Sarah Wheeler, R. I. Mott, Carolyn Fore- hand, Johnny Tombs, Clayton Hunt, La Nell Carlson and Zara Reid plan refreshments and decorations for freshman party. Lyndon Rosenblad, Don Williams, Jerry The four debating teams enjoy a mid- Bane, Janice Glass, Sandra Munson, and night snack with Mrs. Springer at the Rita McCas1and were in charge of planning Debate Contest in Waco. the Christmas party for the freshman class. 7

On Friday night Angela Engelbrecht, Butch Johnson, Donna Hausenfluck, Harriet Berglund, and Gloria Jacob helped to make up the cast. At right, the girls prepare to attack Butch as he enters to sell magazine subscriptions to the group. W -fs? ly Kay Hubbard and Albert Munson give Norman Boufford the once over as Margie Cagle and Agusta Valentine stand waiting with their weapons in hand. This group took part in the Thursday night performance of the Junior-Sponsored play, in which members of the four top grades took part. If , ff On May 20th and 21st Soc'n' Buskin presented Jumping Jupiter sponsored by the Junior class. The production was double cast, and best actresses and actors were chosen for both nights. At the left is pictured the winners of these honors Angela Engelbrecht, Wilma Durham, Peggy Phillips, Albert Munson, Donna Hausenfluck, Gloria Jacob, and Norman Bouf- ford. Soc'n' Buskin members and members of the speech class built the scenery for the production of Jumping Jupiter, which dealt with the lives of three young girls trying to crash Broadway with only Sl. 96 and two months rent due. Living in the sameapartment house is an up-and-coming playwright who has prom- ised the girls parts in his new musical comedy, if it ls ever produced. The conflict comes when the girls find they have 550, 000, which is to be paid to the kidnappers of a tobacco king's daughter. The climax comes when the kidnapped girl is dumped in the girls' lap. After much conflict the girl is returned to her father and the girls receive a 825, 000 reward. ,1ti..i, SXH 7
