I am your college. I am leafy trees whose branches iingerlike Reach skyward, Quiet walks interlacing familiar brick buildings Where enter those who search for knowledge And find God. I am learning, pleasure, friendship, service, Opportunity, inspiration, achievement, purpose. I am growth. But even in these you cannot really know me, For my spirit can only be found In the hearts of those who love me, In 'the lives of those who walk my paths, VVho enter into my buildings, Who stand beneath my trees. You are my spirit, student. It is to you ' I speak: The life of a flower must end with the fading of its petals, but if its beauty has touched the heart, leaving there hap- piness and sweet memories, it cannot die, but blossoms eternally in the soul. I wish for you a similar happiness, in dreams, experiences and all that become a part of you while you were with me, that it will ever recreate in you the memory of the things you loved, and the person you were at Georgetown College.
