He attended the public schools of Washing- ton, and was graduated from the High School with the Class of 'go 5 in the Fall of the same year he entered Cornell Univer- sity, where he remained a little more than three yerrs, he then returned to Washing- ton to commence the study of law. C. CAMPBELL WELLS. Cyrus Campbell Wells, of Chicago, was born near Independence, Pa., August 19, 1870, and at an early age migrated with his parents to the prairies of Southern Iowa, locating at Humes- ton, Wayne county. Here his early life was spent, attending the neighboring schools and assisting on his father's farm. In the Spring of '89 he commenced teaching in the county schools but disliking this Work, he shortly afterwards went to Chicago and entered the office of a large piano manufacturing corn pany.
