DEDICATION DICK CASTILE RICHARD FUKUWA Mr. Castile, a teacher at George Washington for 13 years, will not return to school due to illness. Many students here at G .W.H .S. have not had the privilege to have a class with him. He was one of the best civics teachers here. While at G .W.H .S. he was involved with Model United Nations, and helped to start the Teachers Aide Program. He also had alot of pro- grams out of school, such as helping farm workers. Mr. Castle's interest in students was reflected by their admiration and trust; several times he was selected by the students as the best or most popular teacher. Mr. Castle is a very nature-orientated person. A Sierra hiking trip led to his accident. In a recent letter to Mr. Hinze he said I will miss the contact with young people, but do not intend to let it die. George Washington has lost one of the best teachers it ever had. All that know Mr. Castle are very lucky. Morris Lam who Massed away June 9, 974 would have been a senior this year and would have graduated in June of 1975. Morris was active in school, participating in such activities as ROTC functions and sales around the school. He had a pleasant disposition and was always cheerful and smiling, ready to help a friend. Morris was the kind of person who would let you know what he thought if he disagreed with you. Although many of you did not know him, those of you who did will not forget Mr. T-Bird. -Terrance Woo Mr. Richard Fukuwa, one of the most popular teachers at George Washington died suddenly of cancer on May 8, 1974. Some will remember him as a teacher in our Mathematics Department and in Judo classes. But others will remember him not only as a teacher, but as a warm and understand- ing friend. He lived a active life, always full of vitality. Perhaps one of his most distinguishing qualities was his sincere concern for the students. A hard working and diligent in- dividual, he was respected by all that met him. Let us appreciate all he has done for us and let us remember him the way he would have always wanted us to remember him. -Jenny Toriumi 2 -Tina Murray
