Student Body Officers - Spring S3 Again this term, George Washington had a fine hard-working group of student body officers who did an excellent job to make the Spring term a big success. President PHIL GAAL and his rally com- mittee produced above-par rallies all term. ARDATH PERKINS, our Vice-President, did an outstanding job of planning dances and social activities. ALLAN SEID, Second Vice-President, did a wonderful job with the May Festivol Drive, helping us collect 3,997 cans. The records and minutes were kept in the usual neat monner by Secretary BARBARA SWANSON. George Washington was once more 100% in Student Body Card sales, thanks to the fine work of Treasurer EARL SMITH. Custodian MAURICE PARKS kept the trophies shining brilliantly all term. Athletic Manager AL WOLF did a good job on ticket sales for the term. His advertising of coming sports events was also exceptional. School spirit was kept at a high level all term by Yell Leader MARIO GALANG. Mario had the students yelling at the top of their lungs in the basketball finals, when we just missed the championship. DIANE BERMAN Vice President PRINCETON LYMAN Second Vice President ARDATH PERKINS Secretary Student Body Officers -Fall '52 BILL JAQUYSH was one of the most conscientious Student Body Presidents that George Washing- ton has ever had. Assisted by an unusually fine corps of officers. Bill planned great rallies, double lunches, and all the activities that go to make up a successful term. Our sparkling and vivacious Vice-President was DIANE BERMAN. She was a star performer in the rallies and was the first ’veep’’ to sing over the Broadcast. PRINCETON LYMAN not only expanded the office of Second Vice but originated one of our student government's most important organizations, the Coordinating Board. You just had to look for a meeting or an activity and there you would find ARDATH PERKINS, Sec- retary. A harder worker couldn't have been found anywhere. NICK KAFKAS. Treasurer, came through with another record for being 100% in Student Body cards. On ability to sell game tickets PHIL GAAL really roted high. He sold more game tickets than any other Athletic Manager. EARL SMITH was another hard worker. He never failed to give a very capable helping hand to the other officers. The term s Yell Leader was BERNIE SLAVIN. He aroused tremendous spirit and led our rooting sec- tion to fame many times. WILLIAM JAQUYSH President NICK KAFKAS EARL SMITH PHIL GAAL RERNIE SLAVIN Treasurer Custodian Athletic Manager Yell Leader 8
