Aununouneeurs Buuogurapllay Thus years Senuor Class wull graduate leavung behund rt a very full term Under the sery com petent sponsorshup of Muss Marue Kurwun and wuth Duck Englush as presudent the class has en joyed many actuvutues Duck assusted by Barbara Stevens suce presudent started thungs off wuth a bang wuth the Senuor Soph receptuon A dance was held un the lubrary and the senuor boys had a chance to dance wuth the low soph gurls and xuce versa Everyone agreed that the day was sery successful The senuor class also helped the low sophomores by means of the senuor advusors Capably handled by Charles Crompton and Helen Pruce these ad vusors selected from all the senuor regustrues each had three newcomers to guude The dutues of the advusors were to try to unterest the new classes at Washungton un the varuous actuvutues and to help the students wuth any dufhcultues they found Senuor Day was held on May 3 wuth Funny Paper Characters as uts theme A rally and a dance were held on that day and all the actuvutues were conducted by the hugh senuors Duck Englush was chaurman of the dance commuttee and he was assusted by Lorraune Rogers class secretary Warren Hewutt Bob McHenry Betty Verleger Emul Tenud Alma Pollack and Ernue Rubera The dance DICK ENGLISH was Presudent of the Senuor Class was un Ergle Socuety member 'und 1 Senuor Advusor He played basketball on the champuonshup team Lukes Bob Hope Goung to St Marys BARBARA STEVENS was Vuce Presudent of the L10 and H 17 1 member of the G S S and .1 Senuor Advusor Golf .und rudung are her pet sports Lukes Fred Warung Dentustry at Marun JC and then Calufornua was held un the gym and all the senuors had fun Bob McHenry class treasurer had charge of col lectung Senuor dues thus term One student from each regustry had charge of gettung the dues from hus class The money was used to help pay for the dance and the graduatuon buds Then on May 3 the senuor class presented the annual Senuor Play under the durectuon of Muss Archer and wuth an enturely senuor cast Sudney Stern had charge of publucuty and Gurls Hugh Audutoruum where the play was guucn was filled to capacuty Thus truly sucessful term wull be completed wuth the Senuor Prom to be held on une 7 The dance wull be held un the Gold Room of the Faurmont Hotel Warren Rungen s Band wull play whule the senuors decked out un theur best formal clothes wull dance at theur last hugh school socual actuxuty Funal event and clumax of the term of course wull be the Commencement ceremonues june 10 un the War Memorual Opera House at whuch Charles Crompton and ohn Duryea wull be co valeduc toruans speakung on a student panel wuth Gladys Peyser ack Taylor and Muruel Kohner who were also very hugh un scholastuc ratung Muss Eduth Pence wull be guest speaker LORRAINE ROGERS was H ll und H I7 Sccrcturx 'Iru Y Secretury and un the G S S besudcs bcung '1 Scnuor Ad vusor Kltc Smuth and Bung Crosby ure her fworutcs She xx ull enter the busuness world BOB McHENRY was Low Scnuor Sccrctury and Hugh Scnuor Tre usurer He also vs us on the publucuty dcprrtmcnt for the Eagle and Surseyor He lukes Bob Hope Mac mull study advertusung at S F C r '- PAGE SEVEINTX THREE
