Progress as we achieve academically People do not realize that English is the basis of every phase of their life. As individuals we must be able to communicate with others and to convey our ideas and desires. When an individual studies English, he learns to com- municate with others both in speaking and in Writing. Three years of English are required for graduation. In addition to regular English classes, journalism, speech, and advanced Eng- lish may be elected. Time spent in the reading laboratory gives us a change to improve our reading skills and comprehension. English clas- ses stimulate our mind, and enable us to ex- press ourselves clearly.
